Dr Gupta elected president of NZ Orthopedic Association

JAMMU, Feb 22: Dr (Prof) Sanjeev Gupta, HoD Orthopedics Department of the Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu has been unanimously elected as president of North Zone Orthopedic Association.
The election was held at North Zone Orthopedic Association meeting at Rishikesh in Uttarakhand.
The NZOA comprised Orthopedic Surgeons from New Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh.
At the elections, name of Dr Sanjeev Gupta for the presidentship was proposed by former HoD Orthopedics GMC Jammu Dr Anil Gupta.
Dr Abdul Ghani, Professor in Orthopedics Department of the GMC Jammu was elected to the Executive Committee of the Association.
Dr Sanjeev Gupta is youngest president of the NZOA.
On taking over as president of the NZOA, Dr Gupta said he will have better coordination amongst the Orthopedic surgeons of various States and Union Territories of North India to have uniform protocols in management of patients suffering from trauma and accidents.
He said he will have regular meetings of Orthopedic surgeons of the region next year.
