JAMMU, Nov 9: Dr C D Gupta, renowned Cardiologist, conducted one day free medical camp at Hari Prabhu Ashrey, Nagrota Gujroo, in Billawar with a view to provide free consultation at the door steps of poor and needy patients residing in rural and remote areas.
During the camp, 80 patients, who hailed from far flung areas of tehsil Billawar, Ram Nagar and Basholi, were checked up and diagnosed. Out of these, 8 patients who had serious heart ailments, were referred to GMC & other Health Centers for their Surgeries and further treatment.
Besides, distribution of free medicines, free ECG facility was also provided to 30 patients through Vikas Gupta, Technician. Other pathological tests, like Lipid profile, Blood Sugar, Hb Aic and Micro Test (Body Mass Index) were conducted through courtesy of OLKAEM Lab and FDC Pharmaceuticals.
State Bank of India Ramkot Branch had sponsored this medical camp by sanctioning Rs 10,000/- for purchase of medicines and meeting other camp expenses.
