JAMMU, Nov 15: Book on `Federal Structure of the Textual Constitution of India Fons Juris of Constitution Patriotism cases and Materials” written by Prof K L Bhatia was launched in Amar Singh Club, here today.
The book is an in dept mosaic of Indian Federal Structure which is embedded in achieving the ends of fraternity by promoting the means of dignity of the individual and unity and integrity of the Indian nation.
It is an attempt by the author to give back to the society what he has learned from Indian Federal system. Prof Bhatia is a well known personality in the field of law as he has served as Professor of Law in various universities of India and is also a recipient of ICSSR, UGC, J&K State, UN and ILO Human Rights Fellowship. He is DAAD and Max Planck Fellow and Alumni. Dr Mrinalini Atre and Dr Seema Sharma Faculty, The Law School, University of Jammu conducted the programme.
Dr Sanjay Gupta gave the formal welcome address. Eminent personalities of civil society were present on the occasion.
Prof Bhatia gave a detailed description about his book and complimented all those who contributed directly or indirectly in the accomplishment of this work. Justice (retd) J R Kotwal was the chief guest on the occasion. He focused on the relevance of the book written by Prof Bhatia in the contemporary society and its relevance in the present scenario.
He congratulated Prof Bhatia for his academic accomplishments and appreciated his efforts for contributing and enhancing the emerging knowledge society through his writings time and again.
Prof Y R Malhotra former Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu presided over the programme and applauded the contribution of Prof Bhatia in the field of law. The book was released in presence of senior advocates of the Bar and members of the civil society. The other delegates who graced the occasion included Er Vijay Awasthi, Dr Kamal Saini, R C Sabharwal, Prof S P Suri, Dr J N Baliya, Dr Seema Sharma, faculty members, research scholars and students from Department of Education and the Law School, University of Jammu.
Seema Singh a renowned Dogri singer of Jammu graced the occasion by giving her vocal to a devotional song which was highly appreciated by the gathering.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr Seema Sharma.
