JAMMU, Feb 7: MLA RS Pura, Dr Gagan Bhagat, today started several developmental works at village Chohala of RS Pura Constituency.
Dr Bhagat kick started construction work of lanes and drains including sanitation works at Village Chohala, which was ignored for one or some other reasons.
The MLA also announced a park and a community hall at village Chohala on the demand of the villagers.
Senior officials of Block Development Office (BDO) RS Pura, residents of the village Chohala as well as social and political activists were also present on the occasion.
The MLA also kick started the work of lanes and drains at Chohala, Rangpur Basti, and Tanda. These works will be done under the supervision of RDD and will be completed at an estimated cost of around Rs 15 lakhs.
While speaking on the occasion, Dr Bhagat said that several developmental works will be started in the constituency in the coming days. He said that he will fulfill all the demands of the masses of RS Pura and will work round the clock for the betterment of the society as well.
He also assured the people that every possible initiative which could help in making their lives comfortable will be taken up on priority so that the basic demands of the public could be met. Bhagat also stated that improvement of power and construction of roads and lanes of RS Pura will be his top priority.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion include district president, Brijesh Rana, Mandal RS Pura Pradhan, Natharam, Habhajan Singh Pammi, Gurdeep Singh, Panch Ajay Kumar, Vikas Dogra, BDO RS Pura, AEE (REW), Wasim Qazi, JE of REW Ajay Balgotra and SHO RS Pura.
