Dr Beetika brings laurels to JU

JAMMU, Jan 20:  Dr Beetika Kohli has brought laurels to the Department of Botany, University of Jammu, by bagging the Best Poster Presentation Award 2016 in the field of Plant Sciences during the recently concluded 103rd session of the Indian Science Congress at University of Mysore, Mysuru, from January 3-7, 2016.
The award carries a certificate along with a cash prize of Rs 5,000.
The presentation of Dr Beetika, daughter of Saroj and Nirmal Kohli and wife of Vikas Sharma, was based on her research findings on “Causes and Consequences of Meiotic Behaviour in the Male Sex Track of Allium Roylei Stern at the Gametophytic and Iso-enzymatic Levels.”
Dr Beetika had carried out her research in the Department of Botany, University of Jammu under the supervision of Prof R N Gohil and Dr Veenu Kaul.
