Dr Banarsi of KVK Reasi conferred Global Lifetime Achievement Award

JAMMU, Sept 2: Dr Banarsi Lal, Incharge, Senior Scientist-cum-Head of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Reasi of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Jammu (SKUAST-J) has been conferred with the prestigious Global Lifetime Achievement Award.
The award was presented to him during the Indo American Multidisciplinary Web Conference on Arts, Science, Engineering and Technology (IAMWCASET-2020) & Global Achievement Awards Presentation organized recently by the Sidhartha Educational and Research Federation (SERF).
The conference was sponsored by the International Human Rights and Social Justice Federation, Malaysia/ Canada/USA and Global Citizens Peace Federation, Kerala, India. Many renowned personalities across the globe shared their experiences and knowledge during the conference.
The Global Achievement Award (GAA) 2020 jury panel evaluated the profile of Dr Banarsi and considered him for the prestigious Global Lifetime Achievement Award on the basis of his overall accomplishments in the field of agriculture. Dr Banarsi, a gold medalist and an alumnus of Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi has developed a Mathematical Communication Model which has been highly appreciated at international level. This model is unique in itself to assess the communication behaviour of the farmers.
Dr Banarsi has been working at KVK, Reasi for more than 13 years and upgrading the farming community with the new and innovative agricultural technologies. He is having more than 600 publications including research papers, books, book chapters, success stories/case studies, popular articles etc. It is worthwhile to mention here that research work of Dr Banarsi has been highlighted in the various national and international conferences and was highly appreciated.
On receiving the award, Dr Banarsi said that agricultural science needs to be encouraged in our country as that can help us to be prosperous. He dedicated this award to the farmers who do the biggest job on this earth.
