RAJOURI, Sept 1: Dr Ashfaq Ahmed Zarri has taken over as the Registrar of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), Rajouri.
This is his second stint in BGSBU and he replaced Prof Iqbal Parwez as the new Registrar.
Earlier, Dr Zarri was Director South Campus, University of Kashmir. As Development Officer, he played a pivotal role in the establishment of Offsite campuses of the KU. Before joining KU, he had served BGSBU as Deputy Registrar.
Hailing from district Rajouri, Dr Zarri holds Ph D in Wildlife Sciences from University of Mumbai. He has many international publications to his credit. He has co-authored two books published by Oxford University Press. He has been the Principal Investigator of four major research projects sponsored by DBT, Ministry of Textiles and Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India.
