Dr Alkindi elected president JAH

SRINAGAR, Feb 25: Dr. Abdul Latif Alkindi has been elected as the President of the Jamiat Ahle Hadith J&K for the next three years.
The election was conducted through a secret ballot, with a total of 425 Majlis-e-Shura members from Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh eligible to cast their votes.
Following the voting exercise, Dr. Alkindi emerged victorious with more votes in his favor.
The other two candidates contending for the position of President were Professor Ghulam Muhammad Bhat Al-Madani and Abdul Latif Bhat Al-Madani.
The election took place under the overall supervision of Mufti Muhammad Yaqoob Baba, Abdul Rehman Bhat, and Shaukat Ahmed Wani at Salfia Muslim Institute, Parraypora.
Originally from Banihal and currently residing in Iqbal Abad Batamaloo, Dr. Alkindi pursued religious studies in Saudi Arabia and holds a PhD degree from the Islamic University of Madinah.
