DPS organizes Inter Section Rangoli Competition

JAMMU, Oct 21:  The students of DPS organized an ‘Inter Section Rangoli Competition’ to celebrate festivity.
On the occasion, students participated with a lot of enthusiasm as they put together their artistic, imaginative and creative skills to make bright and beautiful rangolis.  Rangoli colours, flower petals and diyas were used to decorate the Rangolis. The students displayed their skills by making colourful and elegant Rangolis.
The Rangoli competition was adjudged by  Suresh Sharma. The criteria for judgement was based on symmetry, colour combination, creativity and the neatness of the Rangoli.
Class V-F was adjudged first while class V-G and class V-I got 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
While addressing the participants after inaugurating the exhibition of Rangolis,  Meenu Gupta, Headmistress DPS Jammu stated that Rangoli is an integral part of Indian culture and Art of India. Organizing such events in the school help young children to remain in close touch with their culture. She also urged the students to adopt eco-friendly ways of celebrating festivity.
Ruchi Chabra, Principal DPS Jammu congratulated the winners and all other participants. She also wished them for their bright future.
