JAMMU, Oct 27: Young karatekas of Delhi Public School (DPS) Junior, Kathua lifted the overall championship trophy at the 6th Invitational North India Open Karate-Do Championship 2025, held at SMDRSD College, Pathankot.
The inter-state event drew participation from schools across Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Jammu & Kashmir, where a 26-member contingent from DPS Junior Kathua showcased exceptional skill and discipline. The team secured a total of 26 medals, including 4 Gold, 7 Silver and 15 Bronze.
Gold medals were clinched by Samriddh Chowdhury, Vartika Rajput, Aryaveer and Nyraa Rajput, while the Silver medal winners included Mohammed Naveed, Priyal Sharma, Aairah, Advik Singh, Satvik Verma, Kanupriya and Divyansh Singh. The Bronze medal tally featured Nandana, Riyanshika, Vimarsh, Niyti, Aahan Pratap, Akashansh Singh, Aayansh Singh, Parv Mahajan, Hridayansh, Aaditya Vardhan Singh, Affan, Ranvijay, Viren Attri and Mayank.
School In-charge Monika Singh expressed pride for the young achievers and their mentor, Kajal Rajput, Sports Teacher for steering the team to victory.
