DPP flays Govt for power, water crisis

JAMMU, June 13: Duggar Pradesh Party (DPP) has strongly criticized the State Government for the power and water problem in the region.
The leaders of  DPP in a meeting held under the chairmanship of  Udhay Chand alleged that Government has failed to provide electricity and water supply  to the people of Jammu region. They said the Jammu, Kathua, Samba and other districts of the region are reeling under severe  hot temperature but the PDD has imposed long power cuts, causing inconvenience to the public. The people are suffering from virtual torture due to frequent power cuts.
They said in rural areas the condition is more worst. Due to power failure and low voltage, the water supply has also been hit in the entire Kandi belt. The motors at the pumping stations remain un-replaced for  days and weeks together while villagers remain facing crisis. They alleged that Government has been unable to deliver the essential services to the public.
Prominent among others present in the meeting included Mohan Singh, Inder Pal Singh, Vrsha Kapoor, Ram Singh, Kulveer Charak, Mangal Dass, Om Parkash Sharma, Madan Singh, Ch Jamal Khan and  Ashok Jasrotia.
