JAMMU, Sept 26: A week long Foundation Day celebrations of Democratic Progressive Azad Party (DPAP) was started at its Jammu headquarters today which will conclude on 2nd of October 2023 on the eve of Gandhi Jayanti.
Ch Gharu Ram, former Minister and president Central Zone, Jammu, DPAP hosted flag of the party in presence of former Legislator and Member Working Committee Ashok Sharma, Adv Sahjad Malik Zonal president Pir Panchal, Vinod Mishra and Maheshwar Singh both general secretaries, Sobat Ali Councilor and Anita Thakur general secretary; Kirtan Singh Minorities Cell chief, Prabha Salathia, Sunita Arora, Balbir Singh, Gourav Chopra and other veteran leaders of the party were also present.
While speaking on the occasion Ch Gharu Ram spelled out one year achievements of the party under the dynamic leadership of Ghulam Nabi Azad and said that DPAP will provide visible political alternative to the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Ashok Sharma thanked the leadership for promising the people to stand by them and during the time of crises like land eviction order, BPL ration stopping order which was successfully got withdrawn by agitating/protesting physically on ground and our Chairman meetings with the UT and Union Governments.
Other leaders assured that people of J&K that the party will fight against pricking issues like Toll Plaza, Smart Meters, Property, water and other hard hitting taxes, for filling up the vacancies in Government and private sectors, regularisation of daily wagers and temporary employees, restoration of Statehood, democracy and land and guarantees.
