Donations continue to pour in for fight against COVID-19

JAMMU, April 18: To support the Government in its fight against COVID-19 and providing relief to the people affected with lockdown, Rotary Club Jammu Tawi donated Rs 4 lakh to PM CARES Fund.
Twenty-nine cheques amounting to Rs 2,17,600 were presented to Kavinder Gupta (former Deputy CM) by president of the Club, Raman Sherpuri in the presence of Dr Dushyant (Governor designate rotary) and Ashok Kumar Gupta (retired IPS). Another 2 lakh was transferred by RTGS/Apps.
Galdan Targaisling Cultural Welfare Society Pethup Gonpa handed over a cheque of Rs 3 lakh to Commissioner/Secretary Health, UT of Ladakh, Rigzin Samphel towards LG Relief Fund.
Kouser Ahmed Natnoo, owner of Hotel Doda Darbar today donated Rs 50,000 to the official account of District Red Cross Society Doda. He handed over Demand Draft of the amount to the District Development Commissioner Doda Dr Sagar D Doifode in his office.
Founder of Viklang Chhatra Trust, Akhnoor, Satya Pal Saraf donated Rs 25000 through BMO Akhnoor for providing required facilities to COVID-19 sufferers.
Akhnoor unit of Pradesh Vishwakarma Shaba (PVS) J&K contributed an amount of Rs 16,001 towards PM Relief Fund. The draft was handed over by Bansi Lal Goutam, Mohan Verma and Sonia Verma to Sham Lal Sharma (Ex-Minister), vice president of J&K BJP. The amount was arranged by Sonia Verma by collection from all executive members and the president.
Councillor Sobat Ali of Ward number 74 (Sunjwan area) donated Rs 11,111 towards PM CARES Fund while Rs 21,000 was contributed by Varun Sharma, a merchant of Fruit Mandi Narwal. They handed over the cheques to Mayor JMC Chander Mohan Gupta.
