Donations continue to pour in for fight against COVID-19

JAMMU, Apr 7: Jammu and Kashmir Handloom Development Corporation (JKHDC) today donated Rs 10 lakh to J&K Relief Fund to strengthen the ongoing efforts to contain the spread of Coronavirus (Covid-19).
The donation in the form of a cheque was presented to Commissioner Secretary Industries and Commerce Department, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi by Managing Director JKHDC, Rakesh Sharma, who informed that the amount donated is a voluntary contribution from the staff of the Corporation.
Similarly, Jammu and Kashmir Minerals Limited (JKML) collected a sum of Rs 10 lakh from voluntary contribution of its employees and donated to J&K Relief Fund. The cheque of the amount was presented by Vikram Gupta, Managing Director along with Zia-ur-Rehman, FA&CAO, JKML, to Commissioner/ Secretary Industries & Commerce Department.
Zeshta Devi Prabandak Committee, Zeethyar Raj Bhawan Marg, Srinagar made a contribution of Rs 1.51 lakh towards PM RELIEF Fund while Swami Vivekananda Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla, Jammu contributed an amount of Rs 1,01,000 towards J&K Relief Fund.
Arun Gupta, proprietor of M/s National Book Depot along with Jitender Vermani (president, Beopar Mandal, Udhampur) handed over a cheque of Rs 51000 to DC Udhampur as Relief Fund while Ashram Swami Nand Bab Sahib, Lale Da Bagh, Jammu and Chairman of International Delhi Public School, Akhnoor, SP Sharma donated Rs 51000 and Rs 21000 respectively in favour of PM CARES Fund.
Shri Sanatan Dharam Shetal Nath Ashram Sabha, Srinagar donated Rs 11000 while Ganesh Mandir Prabhandal Samiti, Ganpatyaar (Srinagar) contributed Rs 25000 towards PM CARES Fund.
In Kargil district of UT Ladakh, Karsha Chamling Monastery Zanskar donated an amount of Rs 1,02,020 towards Ladakh Disaster Relief Fund while Social Educational and Cultural Preservation and Development Society (SECPAD) Yulsum Zanskar donated Rs 10,000 each towards Ladakh Disaster Relief Fund, Chairman Red Cross Committee Kargil and Chairman Red Cross Society Zanskar.
Moreover, Secretary Marpaling Lamdon Model School Stongday Zanskar contributed an amount of Rs 55000 towards PM CARES Fund while as Rigzin Samphel, a resident of Pibcha Zanskar donated a sum of Rs 55000 to SDM Zanskar for providing food and shelter to the travelers at various locations in Lungnaq area.
Sercretary/Project Supervisor Ladakh Society for Traditional Medicine Tsewang Gonbo handed over two cheques of Rs one lakh each for PM CARES Fund and LG Relief Fund UT Ladakh to Commissioner/ Secretary Health UT Ladakh Rigzin Samphel today.
Similarly, College Teachers Association Ladakh transferred an amount of Rs 1.8 lakh to the bank account of LG Relief Fund UT Ladakh to support the administration in fighting against COVID-19.
Likewise, Himalayan Solar Energy Leh Ladakh handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 in favour of LG Relief Fund UT Ladakh to Commissioner/ Secretary Health UT Ladakh Rigzin Samphel.
