JAMMU, Apr 13: In a vibrant celebration of regional culture and musical talent, the highly anticipated Dogri song “Rut Barsala” was officially released today during a grand ceremony held at the Press Club Jammu.
The unveiling was graced by Vivek Shekhar (SP North), who attended as the chief guest while Keshav Chopra, renowned social activist and Chairman of the Samvedna Society, presided over the event as the guest of honour. Adding further prestige to the occasion were special guests Malvika Sharma (Deputy Director ICDS) and Suneet Raina (Ex-Councillor).
Vivek Shekhar lauded the creative team for their dedication to preserving local heritage. He remarked that music serves as a powerful bridge between generations, stating: “It is heartening to see our youth embracing their roots with such professional finesse.’Rut Barsala’ is not just a song but a testament to the richness of our mother tongue. Such initiatives are essential to keep the spirit of Dogra culture alive in the hearts of the younger generation, and the entire team deserves credit for bringing this soulful project to life.”
Keshav Chopra, speaking on the cultural significance of the release, issued a crisp yet powerful appeal to the youth. “By producing high-quality content like ‘Rut Barsala,’ these artists are putting Dogri on a global stage,” Chopra noted. He further emphasized, “I urge our youth to shun drugs and instead channel their energy into their talents. It is our collective duty to choose creativity over addiction to build a better society.”
The project features a talented ensemble, including soulful vocals by singer Bikram Sharma and a captivating visual performance by actors Arpan Baigra, Shriya Rajput, and Rishabh Manhas.
Under the creative vision of Director Erin and the backing of Producers Sohan and Mohan Singh, the song has already begun garnering praise for its melodic composition and high production values.
