‘Dogri Musical Night’ organized at Amar Singh Club

JAMMU, Nov 6: Amar Singh Club Jammu today organized ‘Dogri Musical Night’ wherein local artists sang the poetry pieces written by AK Angurana, Padma Sachdev and Dr Anil Kumar, and composed by the eminent music director Dr Brij Mohan.
S K Sharma, Additional Commissioner, Income Tax, was the chief guest on the occasion. The programme was organized by Amar Singh Club Jammu under the guidance of its vice president, Sanjeev Verma, secretary Vijay Saraf and all executive committee members.
The singers who sang the poetry pieces have already earned name and fame not only in J&K but also at national level by their high quality singing. These singers included Sonali Dogra, Vanshika Jaral, Versha Jamwal and Antriksh. The program was compered by Kusum Tickoo.
After the programme, Amar Singh Club presented mementos to the music director and singers. Prominent persons who attended the programme include N Rohmetra, Sat Mehta, Dr Vikram Handa, Dr Rohit Gupta, N S Chahal, Iqbal Singh, Vinod Mahajan, Vishal Abrol, Rajesh Gupta and Raman Gupta.
It is pertinent to mention that Amar Singh Club is not only engaged in its routine activities of providing relaxation and recreation to its members but also promoting and contributing to the literary and cultural heritage of Jammu region, particularly Dogri language and music.
