Dogra HSS celebrates Annual Day, Prize Distribution ceremony

JAMMU, Feb 25: To commemorate the 50 years of glorious services in the field of education, Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu celebrated its Annual Day & Prize Distribution ceremony, here today.
The function was held in the Auditorium of Police Head Quarter, Gulshan Ground, Jammu in which the students of the school presented a bonanza of cultural items with great enthusiasm and fervor. Kavinder Gupta, Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly Jammu was the chief guest to grace the occasion.

Veena Pandita, Secretary, J&K Board of School Education, Jammu, was the guest of honour and JK Soodan, Chief Education Officer, Jammu, Kuldeep Sharma, Assistant Secretary J&K Board of School Education Jammu and Surekha Charak president Managing Committee DHSS were the special guests. Principal, Davinder Kour read out the annual report and expressed gratitude to parents for their co-operation and frequent interaction to make the programme of the school an impressive one.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by the students. The toddlers of Pre-Primary presented the Kids dance which enthralled the audience presents there. The other students also presented variety of items and skits, which included Punjabi folk Dance, J&K Festivals etc. and were greatly appreciated by the large gathering of dignitaries, guests and parents present there.
The chief guest, in his speech lauded the efforts of the school in putting up such a fine and memorable function and congratulated the school for rendering 50 years of glorious service in the field of education.
Founder of the school, Th. Gulchain Singh Charak (Former Minister & President Dogra Sadar Sabha J&K) congratulated all the students parents for 50th year of the school.
Inderpreet Kaur and Eisha Gupta conducted the proceedings of the programme, while the function concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Nirmala Koul, Vice Principal.
