UDHAMPUR Mar 24: A doctor was hurt when his motorcycle skidded off the road near Birma Bridge while three persons in a Maruti car sustained injuries after their vehicle rolled down into a deep gorge at Chenani Top, here today.
Identity of the injured doctor has been established as Sourav Gupta, son of Om Parkash Gupta, resident of Vidhya Bhawan near BDO office Kallar Udhampur, who was on way from Jammu to Udhampur, when the accident took place. He was rushed to District Hospital Udhampur where doctors referred him to GMC Hospital Jammu for advanced treatment.
In another road mishap, three persons were injured when a Maruti- 800 car in which they were traveling, rolled down into deep gorge near Chenani Top on NH1A.
The injured persons, identified as Kuldeep Kumar, Farooq Ahamed and Mohd Shafi from Ramban, were shifted to hospital by the local police.
The ill-fated car, bearing registration number JK 02AJ- 8187, was on its way from Ramban to Jammu when it met with the accident.
