ANANTNAG, June 14: The Deputy Commissioner (District Magistrate, Chairman District Disaster Management Authority) Anantnag today issued show cause notices to Dr. Iqbal Bichoo (Block Medical Officer, Bijbihara) and Dr. Naseer Ahmad Khan (Block Medical Officer, Sallar).
It was informed that the officers have been served the notices for poor progress on RTPCR testing/sampling in their respective blocks during last 7 days despite having been directed explicitly beforehand for intensifying testing process with focus on increase in RTPCR tests.
The notices call the poor progress on RTPCR testing/sampling part by the officers as “not deligent actions in view of the emergent situation.”
The notices direct the officers to explain their position within two days positively and also provide the reason why action under rules can not be initiated against them.
