DLSA conducts door to door awareness on Coronavirus

RAJOURI, June 5: Retainer Lawyers and Para Legal Volunteers of District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Rajouri today conducted door to door awareness on Coronavirus in various areas of the district.
Under the aegis of the Chief Justice of J&K High Court, Justice Gita Mittal and Executive Chairman JKSLSA, Justice Rajesh Bindal and under the guidance of the Chairman, DLSA Rajouri, Jaffer Hussain Beg, DLSA Rajouri has continued its fight against the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic by organizing various activities.
Besides conducting door to door awareness amongst local residents, Retainer Lawyers and Para Legal Volunteers (PLVs) of DLSA Rajouri also conducted fumigation and sanitization drives in various areas in Kakalote, Nowshera and Sunderbani with the help of Municipal Committees.
DLSA Rajouri this week received many calls regarding ration, medicines and LPG cylinders, transportation, old age pension, withdrawal of cash from Banks and ATMs from local residents and redressed all the grievances. The PLVs facilitated the local residents at the Ration Depots, outside banks, local market, health care centers etc. in maintaining social distancing in order to minimize the impact of Coronavirus.
The PLVs distributed masks to the local residents and told them the importance of wearing masks in crowded places and washing hands properly. They were told to report to doctor in case anyone has the symptoms like cough, cold or fever.
