JAMMU, July 15: Divisional Commissioner Jammu Dr Pawan Kotwal today visited Yatri Niwas Bhagwati Nagar to take stock of facilities being provided to the Shri Amarnathji pilgrims.
IGP Jammu Danish Rana, Director Tourism, Sushma Chouhan, Additional Deputy Commissioner Arun Manhas besides senior officers from PHE, PDD, Health, Police, SRTC, JMC, PWD (R&B) were present on the occasion.
During the visit, Divisional Commissioner interacted with the devotees and enquired about the facilities provided to them by administration.
Earlier, a meeting was held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner in which senior officers informed the chair that all arrangements including security, sanitation, healthcare, boarding and lodging, power and water supply have been put in place.
Dr. Kotwal directed the concerned departments to ensure adequate facilities for yatris and smooth conduct of Yatra.
