Div Com takes stock of major development projects

JAMMU, Nov 28: Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, Dr. Pawan Kotwal today chaired an officers meeting to take stock of various major development projects being executed in Jammu city.
Divisional Commissioner took a detailed review of the status of the mega projects including expansion of Jammu Airport, multi-tier parking at Bus Stand, New Legislative Complex, development of Tawi river front, restoration of Mubarak Mandi Heritage complex, modernization of Ranbir canal, Jammu Sewerage Project, Chenab Water Supply project, four-laning of Satwari-Kunjwani road, Jammu ropeway project and other works taken up by ERA, PDD, R&B and Hospitality & Protocol in Jammu.
The Divisional Commissioner exhorted upon the executing agencies to further speed up the pace of progress on their respective projects, so that these could be completed within the stipulated time frame. He also asked them to ensure qualitative improvement in these major projects which will further enhance the beauty of the city of temples.
Regarding the construction of Jammu ropeway project, the Divisional Commissioner directed the concerned to develop the project on modern lines for the convenience of the tourists.  He emphasized on the need for adopting professional approach while executing various developmental projects.
The meeting was attended by VC JDA, Mubarak Singh, Chief Engineer I&FC Rajeev Gandotra, Chief Engineer R&B Alok Mengi, Director H&P Tariq Ganai, Director Agriculture Jammu Dr. S. S. Jamwal, CEO J&K ERA Vinod Sharma, Executive Director Mubarak Mandi Heritage Society Rohit Khajuria,  Additional Commissioner Jammu Rehana Batool,    ADDC Jammu Anuradha Gupta, Joint Director Tourism Namrita Dogra, General Manager NBCC M. Rafiq, General Manager JKPCC N. D. Khawaja, SE JDA A. K. Kapoor, Project Manager ERA Shakti Sagar, and other officers of the concerned departments.
