JAMMU, May 16: Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal today stressed the need for expeditious completion of projects proposed under Restructured Accelerated Power Development Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) in Jammu division.
IGP, Jammu, Danish Rana, Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Ajeet Kumar Sahu, Deputy Commissioner, Samba, Sheetal Nanda, Registrar, SKUAST Jammu, Vice Chairman, JDA, Director IIIM, Chief Engineers PWD & I&FC and officers of various department were present in the meeting.
He asked Power Development Department (PDD) to consistently follow the transfer of land identified for construction of receiving stations in Jammu city and its peripheries.
The meeting discussed in detail the positioning and sites for the 33/11 KV receiving stations proposed to be constructed at Shakti Nagar, Manda, Barnai, Sunjwan, Subash Nagar- Polura, Raika- Greater Jammu, Residency area and Dayabsar. The JDA, JMC, Wild Life and other departments were asked to work out the modalities for transfer of their respective pieces of land which have been selected for the construction of these projects.
The Divisional Commissioner also instructed the police and district administration to help PDD in the eviction of encroachments at the identified sites, if any.
Dr Kotwal directed each of these departments to cooperate with the PDD for early start of work on all these projects.
