JAMMU, May 28: Mata Kheer Bhawani Ji Yatra Welfare Society (MKBJYWS) today held a meeting of the advisory board and took stock of the arrangements for ensuing Mata Kheer Bhawani Yatra from Jammu to Tulmulla, Manzgam, Tikker, Khanbarni and Logripora in Kashmir to be conducted in the second week of June. The advisory members expressed satisfaction with regard to the fresh initiatives taken by the organisers of the society for the smooth conduct of the Yatra.
The advisory board also appreciated the initiative taken by Vishwa Kashmiri Samaj and Global Solace (NGO) social organization for framing the committee MKBJYWS.
The detailed meeting held by society with the Divisional Commissioner Jammu was appreciated in general body, especially for explicit directions given by Divisional Commissioner Jammu to different coordinating departments for providing adequate facilities to devotees during the Yatra.
The meeting decided that Yatra for Tulmulla and other Shrines will commence from June 8, 2019 and will conclude on June 12, 2019 and the transport facilities to advance parties will be provided as per the past practice.
The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir also held a meeting with MKBJYWS, APMCC and other social organizations, the delegation of which was led by Kiran Wattal, Convener of the Society and discussed threadbare the arrangements to be provided on the occasion of the Yatra.
The Div Com gave instructions to all the concerned officers including DC’s present in the meeting to make proper arrangements and provide all kind of facilities for the safe and smooth conduct of the Yatra.
The Div Com also served instructions to all the concerned departments with regard to providing of proper accommodation to the pilgrims within the shrine complex and additional accommodation around the sanatorium, completion of pending works of bathroom (ladies/gents) adjoining the prayer hall, repair and renovation of the community toilet blocks (ladies/gents ) situated at the periphery of the temple complex (50 nos), face-lifting of bathing ghat, making STP operational, providing sufficient number of bedding and blankets for the yatries, providing adequate parking near the shrine, black toping of the road from the entry gate to shrine and proper drainage system and putting ban on polythene and other disposals.
The members of the Society expressed sincere gratitude to Divisional Commissioners of both the divisions of the State for giving proper directions to all the concerned agencies.
