RAMBAN, Nov 28: Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEIT) and Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) GoI presented the National e-Governance Silver Award in Category III-Excellence in District Level initiative in E-Governance’ to Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam for launching the Project ‘Ramban e-Suvidha’ App.
The ‘Ramban e-Suvidha’ app has proved a highly effective interface between private service providers (skilled and educated youth) and people to seek and offer different types of services through online mode.
Ramban e-Suvidha provides access to people to seek basic services like Home tuition, Plumbing, Electric Works, Mobile and Laptop troubleshooting, masonry, and skilled jobs on their smartphones from the trained local youth. The application also links many important departments like Health, Common Service Centres, Food & Civil Supplies, Banks, and other financial institutions.
Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region and Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office, Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Atomic Energy and Department of Space, Dr. Jitendra Singh felicitated the Deputy Commissioner, Ramban and his NIC team during 25th National Conference on e-Governance (NCeG) held at Katra.
Dr. Jitendra Singh presented a Silver Trophy, Citations, and Cash Award of Rs. 3 lakh to the Deputy Commissioner and his NIC team including former District Informatics Officer, Naveen Ahlawat, Network Engineers, Shubam Gupta and Mohit Kumar at the two-day conference organized by Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances DARPG and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MEIT) in association with the Government of UT of Jammu and Kashmir on the theme “Bringing Citizens, Industry and Government closer” which begin here on Saturday at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra.
The DC said with the introduction of the web application during the Covid-19, a large number of people exhibited keen interest and started using the digital platform resulting in overall increased learning outcomes.
