District level protests on Apr 25 for restoration of Old Pension Scheme

UDHAMPUR, Apr 3: Pressing for restoration of Old Pension Scheme, All India pension Restoration United Front(AIPRUF) / Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA) today announced to hold district level protests in support of the demand.
Decision in this regard was taken during a meeting to discuss the future course of action over the demand, here today.
Talking to media persons after the meeting, Bhupinder Singh, National convener AIPRUF/ UT President JKTA said that leadership of AIPRUF/JKTA has decided to holds peaceful protests at all districts of Union Territory of J&K for restoration of Old Pension Scheme on 25th April 2022. After the protests, memorandum will be submitted to all Deputy Commissioners of UT J&K, he added.
Singh demanded restoration of Old Pension Scheme as New Pension Scheme was not a favourable scheme and it mars the rights of Government employees. Pensionary benefits are the only hope for the employees when they retire from the Government job and are prone to face abandonment, ailments etc, he added.
Singh also appealed the NPS employees of UT J&K to participate in the peaceful protest of AIPRUF/JKTA on 25 April 2022 in their respective districts for restoration of Old Pension Scheme.
Surjeet Singh, Pradeep Sharma, Parbhat Singh, Sumit Khajuria, Sheetal Thakur, Vinayak Bhardwaj, Ashok Kumar and Anchal Singh were also present in the press conference.
