KATHUA, Mar 30: The District Kathua Taekwondo Championship 2024-2025, organized by the Taekwondo Association of District Kathua (TADK) under the aegis of J&K Sports Council and J&K Taekwondo Association, concluded here today. The event held at the District Sports Stadium Kathua, saw around 100 Taekwondo athletes competing for the district title.
The championship was inaugurated by Sandeep Sharma, Physical Education Director at GDC Kathua, and Joginder Kumar Sharma, Manager of Kathua Sports Stadium. The event featured teams from across the district, providing an exciting platform for local talent to shine.
“Khelo India Taekwondo Centre Kathua” emerged as the winner of the championship, under the mentorship of Vishesh Thakur, while SAI International secured the runner-up position. The prize distribution ceremony was graced by special guest Ravi Singh Andotra, BJP Mandal Pradhan (Nagri).
The championship was a great success, thanks to the dedicated efforts of technical officials and supporting team members, including Pankaj Spolia, Gursharan, Hazara Singh, Gopal and Secretary Pushap Thakur.
