JAMMU, Oct 12: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, District Jammu, hosted the Inter-District UT Level Table Tennis Competition (U-17 boys and girls) at MA Stadium, Jammu, which concluded today with District Jammu clinching both titles.
In the boys’ category, District Jammu defeated District Srinagar by 3-0 in the first semi-final, while District Udhampur beat District Poonch by 3-0 in the second semi-final. In the final, District Jammu triumphed over District Udhampur with another 3-0 victory. The winning team featured Smarth Nischal, Satyam Nischal, Arnav Mahahan and Pravant Singh.
In the girls’ section, District Budgam edged District Srinagar by 3-2 in the first semi-final. District Jammu defeated District Shopian by 3-0 in the second. In the final, District Jammu emerged winners, represented by Kritika Gupta, Sanvi Kundal, Gunjan Kargatia and Kavya Sharma. Matches were officiated by Rekha Ratra, Gurdeepika Kour, Aftab Alam, Parmod Singh and others.
