JAMMU, Feb 5: 5th District Jammu Rugby Championship2018 concluded at Dogra Ground, Shastri Nagar, here today.
Seventeen teams drawn from Jammu district participated in the Championship.
Rahul Suri CEO MRAKJ was the chief guest on the occasion, while Harmeet Singh, Physical Director Doon International School was the guest of honour.
The Championship was organized by District Jammu Rugby Association under the aegis of J&K Rugby Association and sponsored by J&K State Sports Council.
Results: Sub junior boys: Winner, Doon International School; runners-up, Jammu Tigers and 3rd place, Singh Sports Club.
Junior Boys:Winner, Doon International School; runners-up, DIS Warriors and 3rd place, Jammu Lions.
Senior Boys: Winner, Jammu Highlanders;
Runners-up, Sports Academy Jammu and 3rd place, Jammu Cheetahs.
Open Category Girls: Winner, Doon International School; runners-up, DIS Sharks and 3rd place, Jammu Blues
The selected players will compete in the forthcoming State level Rugby 7s Championship 2018 which will be held in Srinagar by the end of this month.
