KATHUA, Sept 15: A BSF jawan of 19 Battalion who has shown dedication and courage to shoot down the Pakistani drone loaded with arms and ammunition on June 20 at BOP Pansar , was honored with cash prize of Rs 50,000 today.
The prize money in shape of a cheque of Rs 50, 000 by Red Cross Society was handed over to BSF Sub Inspector, Davinder Singh by DC Kathua, OP Bhagat along with BDC chairman, Karan Kumar Attri of block Marheen, BSF Commandant Satyendra Giri at BOP Manyari of 19 Bn in the presence of number of BSF jawans .
The BSF SI Davinder Singh who shot Pak drone on 20-06-2020 at Rathua village was appreciated for being extra vigilant. The Deputy Commissioner, Kathua OP Bhagat while addressing praised his working and vision to keep vigilance on the border and best of service to foils the attempt of Pakistan militants to supply the arms and ammunition through drone.
