JAMMU, Sept 15: Former first class cricketer and senior selector Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, Vinod Sharma has become president of Jammu District Cricket Association (JDCA).
The election was held today at JKCA Office GGM Science College Hostel Ground Jammu in which Dr Ajay Taloor was the Observer of election proceedings, whereas Advocate Kapil Sharma was the Electoral Officer.
Vinod Sharma defeated Vijay Suberwal for the post of president, whereas Mohit Puri got the better off Sarthak Khoda for the post of vice-president and Kr Sham Singh Langeh prevailed over Iqbaldeep Singh for the post of general secretary. Shubam Verma thrashed Gourav Sharma to become treasurer, while Sheshu Pal trounced Ashwani Goswami for the post of joint secretary.
Speaking on the occasion, newly elected president termed the win as the victory of cricket and cricketers. The election was held among 23 Clubs of Jammu district.
It is pertinent to mention here that about 25 Clubs of Jammu district have been registered with JKCA in which two Clubs abstained from the voting rights to elect office bearers of the District cricket body.
