JAMMU, May 5: Distribution of ration and essential items among the needy persons continued here today.
DCC and Chogan Slathia Welfare Committee delivered free ration in Jammu East, Ward Number 1. Yogesh Sawhney, Former Minister J&K and General Secretary JKPCC Incharge District President Jammu Urban, Pawan Dev, Anoop Gupta, all team members of CSWC including Ram Saroop Baru (Chairman CSWC) , Raj Singh, Dhian Singh, Ram Magotra, Ashok Tak, Sanjiv Singh, Abhi Jamwal, Sumit, Pranav Singh and Baleshwar Slathia were present on the occasion.
Senior Congress leader Varun Magotra along with his team of volunteers distributed dry ration and essential commodities among families in Ward Numbers 10 and 4 (Pacca Danga and Kali Jani areas). Vice President DCC Madan Lal Malagar, Former President District Congress Sevadal Sardari Lal Mehra, Block President Congress Committee Anand Gandotra, Babli Devi, Viraj Sharma, Vishal Sharma, Honey and many others were present on the occasion.
Women Wing of Hindustan Shiv Sena under the leadership of Sapna Kohli distributed food items and other essential commodities among needy persons in Janipur and surrounding areas. The distribution was done under the guidance of UT President of HSS Vikrant Kapoor. Other women wing members including Neelam Raina, Radika and Kajal Kumari were present on the occasion.
Tika Lal Taploo, member of BJP Kashmir Displaced District has distributed ration and essential items among poor and needy families in Jagti and Nagrota areas under the supervision of TN Bhat President BJP KDD. Chaman Lal Pandita Vice President, Roop Krishan Koul Mandal President, Dolly Raina, President Mahila Wing BJP KDD, Vimal Raina Corporator, Booth Presidents viz Chaman Lal Pandit, Surinder Sharma, Rajinder Koul, Moti Lal Padroo, Anjali Suri, Piyaray Lal Pandita, Romesh Raina, Susheel Pandita and Mandal Team members Vimal Raina, Ashwani Koul, Sanjay Tickoo, Chander Dhar, Ashok Dhar and Daisy Bazaz and Raj Bali Corporator were also present on the occasion.
Samaj Sewa Trust led by social worker Rita David distributed dry ration kits and other food items among the poor families at Ward Number 7 Jammu in presence of Satish Kumar, SDPO City North Jammu, Anil Choudhary Incharge Police Post Residency Raod Jammu, Rev Shoukat Peter President J&K Joint Churches Fellowship Jammu, Camres David (Babloo) President All India Masih Seva Dal, Titus Gil, Vice President, Parshotam Mehra Advisor All India Masih Seva Dal and Polas Gill District Coordinator Samaj Sewa Trust.
Jammu team of “We The Human Forum for Nature and” distributed free ration among labourers from Bihar, stuck up without food at Talab Tillo Jammu. The ration was distributed by Ajab Singh Executive Member and Vishvajeet Singh Volunteer of “We The Human”.
Shaheen Trust members including Touseef Khalid, Sajid Sheikh and Aarif Sheikh went door to door and delivered ration among fourty identified needy families in different areas of Kishtwar.
Various Sikh Organizations distributed dry ration kits amongst needy and poor people of Poonch district. Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee Poonch, Sikh Naujwan Sabha, All India Sikh Student Federation and Khalsa Aid Welfare Society J&K prepared 40 dry ration kits at Gurdwara Singh Sabha Poonch and distributed it amongst needy people on identification basis especially widows in far flung areas of Nangali, Chandak, Seklu and Mandi. Prominent Sikh leaders who supervised the whole activity included Mandhir singh, Jagjit Singh Bunty, Paramjeet Singh Pamma, Gurmeet Singh Guru, Daljeet Singh and Harcharan Singh.
