JAMMU, Apr 28: Distribution of ration and essential items among needy persons continued.
Parle Biscuits Private Limited has provided 50000 packets of Parle-G biscuit to J&K Police through Mukesh Singh, IGP to help the police in its efforts to feed the needy and vulnerable sections of the society. Rajesh Sharma, MD Skipper Overseas Private Limited and Ex Chairman CII J&K handed over the packets to J&K Police. The consignment was received by SSP Kulbir Singh on behalf of IGP at PCR Jammu.
Gandhi Global Family J&K distributed dry ration and fresh vegetables among 20 local needy families of Kachi Chawani. Relief material was distributed by GGF J&K in presence of GGF President J&K Padmashri Dr S P Varma at Afghan Street, Kachi Chawni in Jammu city. Jaswinder Singh Kuku GGF Advisor Jammu, Balbir Singh Jamwal, Dr Prem Sharma, Amit Varma, Sanjeev Kohli and Ankush Varma distributed the material among the needy families.
Secretary Innerwheel Club of Jammu Retd Principal Rattan Prabha in consultation with President Reva Raina and Team Mask Force Chairman Retd DC State Taxes Vijay Sharma started making masks at Apna Vihar Colony and its distribution amongst locals of the area. Secretary of club Rattan Prabha with the help of his son distributed various essential items contributed by club members to the inmates of Balgran in village Channi Rama. Various other NGOs like Trikuta Nagar Welfare Association headed by its President Retd DC Excise SBS
Mastana also pledged to participate in this mission.
RSS provided 200 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) kits for doctors and healthcare workers of GMC Jammu. PPE kits were handed over by Dr Goutam Mengi Prant Sahsangchalak of Jammu Kashmir in presence of Director National Health Mission Bhupinder Kumar, Principal GMC Jammu Dr Sunanada Raina, Medical Superintendent Dr Dara Singh, Dr. Anil Manhas, Jai Dev General Secretary Sewa Bharti Northern Region, Dr Vikrant Prant Karyavah, Jammu Mahanagar Sanghchalak Surinder Mohan Gupta and others.
Secretary Indian Red Cross Society Jammu Region, Vinod Malhotra alongwith his team today distributed ration among 85 poor and needy families of Jeewan Nagar, Preet Nagar and its adjoining areas. Besides, a team of Red Cross Society in collaboration with International Association for Human Values (IAHV)- Art of Living distributed 100 food packets to poor and needy families of Bajalta.
Rani Welfare Society through its Vice President Kamini Mahajan alongwith the active participation of office bearers and volunteer namely Saniya Gupta took another opportunity of providing ration kit to the poorest sections of the society. Savita Parihar Retd SSP and President Rani Welfare Society, Randhir Singh General Secretary, Kaveri Choudhary Treasurer and Narinder Kumar Member were also present on the occasion.
Former MLC Subash Gupta served langar which is running under the banner of Ram Leela Club Hiranagar near Radha swami Ashram Hiranagar. Prominent among others present were Sanjay Sharma Councilor, President Ram Leela Club Hiranagar, Rajeev Gupta Councilor, Terath Sharma, Ramesh Kundel, Vishal Vora and Kuljit Singh.
Sahara Educational Trust in collaboration with All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organisations distributed essential commodities among ad-hoc based Safi karamchari workers of Resham Ghar area. RK Kalsotra, State President, Monica Kalsotra, Trustee, Lucky Chidha, Amar Mammon President and General secretary Akhil Bharatiya Safai Majdoor Sangh and many others were present on the occasion.
BJP Kashmir displaced District distributed ration, medicines, masks and other essential items in various areas of Jammu viz Barnai, Janipur, Sidhra, Tallab Tillo and Udheywala areas among the poor and needy families at their door step. The programme was organized and mobilized by Rakesh Koul, Corporator Mattan (BJP leader) in Barnai and Sidhra area and TN Bhat, President BJP KDD, Vinod Pandita, General Secretary, Veer Saraf, In-charge South Kashmir, KL Anand, Bhawana Koul, Vishal Fotedar, Vijay Raina (Sarpanch) and Samvit Trisal were part of this distribution process in these areas. Simultaneously Shuban Pandit, Bharat Bhushan Gosan Bhat Vice Presidents, Vishal Jotshi Secretary , Vinod Bhat Treasurer and Rakesh Fotedar I/C IT Cell carried out the distribution drive of dry ration and essential items at the door steps of poor and needy people in the areas of Janipur, Udheywala and Tillab TIllo.
A unit of 85 qtls of rice has been distributed among 151 Priority Householder (PHH) and Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY) ration card holders of Dha, Biama, Hanu Pata, Hinju and Ursi villages for the month of May and June, in the second phase by Food Civil Supply and Consumer Affair Department, Khaltsi. Similarly, in the second phase a unit of 8.25 qtls of rice was also delivered and distributed among the 168 migrant labourers of Khaltsi and Lamayuru, in the presence of villages head and Sarpanchs.
Tawi Welfare Society Jammu distributed ration among the needy people of 26 villages of Tawi Island area. The main function was held at Apna Van Sure Chak where the chief guest was Romesh Bakshi, Tehsildar Mandal and guest of honour was Parveen Kumari, Numberdar Sure Chak.
