DODA, Aug 31: Distribution of free ration among selected families in tehsil Thathri in general and Jia and Joura Panchayats in particular is highly condemnable.
This was stated by president, Tehsil Thathri Development Front (TTDF), Kuldeep Kumar Rao in a statement issued here.
He said that the developmental works is taking place in the areas where the favorites of the politicians resides and same is in the case of earthquake affected families residing in Doda and Kishtwar districts in general and tehsil Thathri in particular.
He said that this step-motherly treatment of the Government and the agencies concerned needs to be investigated by an impartial agency, so as to bring forth this grave act of nepotism and favoritism.
“Report of deviation of Kahara-Jai road submitted by committee framed by Chief Secretary has been compiled on the bases of wrong information received by the committee from the ground level employees, which is perverse and contrary to the facts and situation existing on spot”, he added.
Rao appealed to Union Health Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and Minister for Roads and Buildings Abdul Majid Wani to depute officers from the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu, along with Technical Officer from the office of Chief Engineer, PMGSY, Jammu, so as to redress the grievances of the inhabitants.
