JAMMU, Mar 6: Embarr-assed and distressed over its failure in bi-annual exams of class 10th, a boy today jumped into Chenab river in Akhnoor area.
“Aman Kumar (17) son of Bachchan Lal, a resident of Jungwari, Purkhoo, in city outskirts, this morning jumped into River Chenab from new bridge, near bypass Road, Akhnoor,” police sources here said.
After getting information, police and locals rushed to the spot and did their best efforts to trace and fish out the body of the boy but could not trace the body till late evening when the last reports came in.
