JAMMU, Nov 11: Classical Vocal, Classical Instrumental and Installation events were conducted on the third day of ongoing ‘Display Your Talent-2022-23’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu, here today.
Special performance of Instrumental Playing by Sound Mani and Juggling by Twin Jugglers, Ashok Kumar and Anand Kumar, eminent artists from Tamil Nadu was organized for the participants under Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat programme. The same was a collaborative initiative of the Department of Students Welfare, JU and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.
Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu and Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar, University of Jammu also witnessed the cultural presentations.
In Classical Vocal, Davinder and Harleen Kaur, both from Institute of Music & Fine Arts secured First and Second positions respectively. Mahima and Sameeksha, both from GCW, Parade were awarded Third Position and Certificate of Merit respectively. Dr Inderjeet Singh was the Teacher incharge and V K Sambyal, O P Thapar and Dr Gaveesh were the adjudicators of the event.
In Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Aryan Verma and Akshay Chanan, both from Institute of Music & Fine arts secured First and Second positions respectively.
In Classical Instrumental (Non-Percussion), Rajat Kashyap and Shivangi, both from Institute of Music & Fine Arts secured First and Second positions respectively. Neetika Sharma and Upasana Gupta, both from GCW, Parade were awarded Third Position and Certificate of Merit respectively. Dr Ripudaman Parihar was the Teacher incharge and V K Sambyal, Dr Gaveesh, Dr Renu Sehgal and Sami Firoze were the adjudicators of the event.
In Installation, team consisting of Sheetal Goswami and Megha Sharma from GCW Parade stood First position. Megha Chib and Kuldan Gyatso from IMFA stood Second and Jhanvi Sharma and Insha Dawood from PG, Integrated stood Third. Dr Madhulika Bhagat was the Teacher Incharge and M A Alnasir, Ganesh Sharma and Jaswinder Singh were the adjudicators.
Dean Students Welfare, Prof Prakash Antahal, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof Vishav Raksha, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof Sanjana Kaul alongwith the Judges and Teachers Incharge of the events felicitated the winners.
Gopal Krishnan, Assistant Director, Department of Culture, Tamil Nadu alongwith his artists & team Ganeshan, Shahjahan and Amanullah and Anil Tickoo, representative from JKAACL were also felicitated on the occasion.
On Saturday, 12th of November, 2022 the events Collage Making, Poster Making and Rangoli would be conducted at Social Sciences Block from 10:00 am onwards.
