NEW DELHI, Sept 13: Chief patron of National Panthers Party (NPP) Prof Bhim Singh has sought the intervention of Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh for the dismissal of Omar Abdullah Government.
In a letter rushed to the Prime Minister here today, the NPP supremo has urged Dr Manmohan Singh to intervene urgently and ensure the removal of Omar Abdullah as his Government has become dangerous security risk for the State. Prof Bhim Singh condemned the killings of the local Kashmiri boys in Shopian area on the day Omar Abdullah was playing flute on the bank of Dal lake and dancing to the tune of Zubin Mehta on September 7.
NPP leader alleged that investigations have shown that the innocent students riding on their motorcycle were shot dead on the instructions from the top due to some vested interests. Prof Singh demanded a high level judicial inquiry into the killing of four youth in the erstwhile Anantnag district. He also condemned the killing of Rafiq Rather only the other day without any justification.
Prof Singh alleged that Omar Government wanted to establish his authority by killing of Kashmiris and prove the supremacy of his administration by killing people on the streets. He also condemned the disgraceful and shameful happening in a retarded home in Jammu and demanded full judicial inquiry into the incident. He sought judicial probe by a sitting judge of High Court into the incidents of killing. NPP leader also accused Omar administration of adding to the confusion, chaos, lawlessness, anarchy and uncertainty in the State because of his non-governance. He further alleged that Congress was too, equally responsible for the mess and anarchy in the State.
