PUDUCHERRY, Aug 1:
The tourism department of the Puducherry administration will take part in a promotional event ‘Discover India 2012’ in Singapore , being organised by ‘The Hindu’ english daily, from August 3 to 5.
According to an official press release here today, Puducherry Tourism Minsiter P Rajavelu will lead an official delegation comprising Dr Sivakumar, Director Tourism and Mr Murthy, Secretary, Tourism.
The delegation will attend the tourism exhibition to be held at Singapore besides an exclusive road show of Puducherry Tourism on August 3.
Tour Operators, Travel Agents, Press and Media People of Singapore have been invited for the function. The Indian High Commissioner for Singapore, Asst Director for India Tourism Office at Singapore and members of the Tourism Industry are participating in the event. The road show will yield the attention of the Indian Diaspora at Singapore to plan tour to Puducherry.
The delegation will also visit the Malasian capital Kuala Lumpur, to organise another Puducherry Tourism Road Show there.
