JAMMU, Sept 21: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) has urged upon the Lieutenant Governor to disburse without any delay the incentives announced by him for health employees.
Addressing a press conference, Sushil Sudan, JKMEF president, said that while recognizing the service of doctors and paramedical staff during COVID-19, Government had sanctioned Rs 10000 for doctors, Rs 7000 for paramedics and Rs 5000 for other staff as incentives vide Government Order Number 360 JK (HME) of 2021 dated 04-05-21, to encourage and boost the morale of health employees.
He regretted that even after lapse of 4 months not even a single penny has been disbursed to the doctors and paramedical staff. Sudan said that the delay in disbursement of incentives has created a breach of trust for those who remained dedicated during pandemic and even some of them lost their lives while rendering their legitimate duties.
The JKMEF president urged upon the Government to implement its own order number 360 JK (HME) of 2021 dated 04-05-2021 in letter and spirit and fulfill the commitment. He also urged the LG administration to consider all categories of health employees who serve the Covid patients for incentives.
Also present in the press conference were Parfulat Singh, Jarnail Singh, R P Singh, Kamaljeet Sawhney, Mohd Nadeem, Bharat Bhushan Bhagat, Dharminder Singh, Pawan Singh Jamwal, Sanjay Dubey, Subash Chodhary, Chodhary Aslam Bahi and Tejinder Singh.
