BHADERWAH, June 3: A disability assessment camp was organized by Chief Education Officer, Doda for CWSN (Children With Special Need) at Government L H S Nagar, Bhaderwah.
The camp was organized under IED, component of SSA in coordination with a team of doctors from ALIMCO, Kanpur and District Hospital, Doda.
In the camp 200 children of zones Bhaderwah and Bhalla were assessed out of whom 45 were screened for providing assistive devices in the form of artificial limbs, crutches, tricycle, rolling chairs and hearing aids. Some students/children of Clift cases were identified who will be operated at Amandeep Hospital, Amritsar through the Education Department.
Entire programme was co-ordinated by Master Kismat Singh, Incharge IED Component SSA, Arif Rana Cluster person Nagar, ZRP Muddasir, CRP Masood Ahmed, Shabir Ahmed, Virender Kumar, Khatish Kumar, Zakir Hussain and Ashraf Malik, under guidance of M A Rather CEO Doda.
For the smooth and successful conduct of the camp, Major Sunil of 4 RR Bhaderwah also extended his full cooperation to Education Deptt by providing tents and refreshment facility to all the CWSN and their escorts accompanying them.
The doctors from District Hospital Doda were Dr Shiv Kumar (Ortho) Dr S S Parihar (ENT) and Hira Lal, Ravi Shanker from ALIMCO, Kanpur.
