SRINAGAR, May 24: Prof. Gul Mohammad Wani, Director, UNESCO Madanjeet Singh Institute of Kashmir Studies, University of Kashmir called on Governor, N N Vohra, Chairman of the Institute, here at Raj Bhavan.
Prof. Wani briefed the Governor about the ongoing academic and co-curricular activities in the UMIKS, the initiatives taken by the Institute to attract students from the SAARC countries, and the efforts being made to invite experienced scholars in the area of international and regional studies to deliver lectures at UMIKS.
The Governor advised Prof. Wani to make all possible efforts to see that the Institute gains meaning and stature by identifying and addressing emerging challenges which are nationally and regionally important.
