Director Social Welfare takes stock of work on Composite Home

JAMMU, Oct 29: The Director, Social Welfare Jammu, Dr Bharat Bhushan today took stock of the progress of construction work of the Composite Home, Jammu.
The Director along with Additional Secretary, Social Welfare, Babu Ram visited village Ghaink near Amb Gharota to inspect the physical progress of the Composite Home which the Social Welfare Department is constructing at an estimated cost of Rs 9.73 crores.
A group of senior citizens under the aegis of Senior Citizens’ Welfare Association, Trikuta Nagar Jammu led by AK Arora, president and RC Gupta, general secretary, also visited the site and interacted with the Director and other officials present on the occasion.
The Director told the senior citizens that in Composite Home, four buildings blocks will be constructed– one each for male senior citizens, female senior citizens, male children and female children. Each block will have dormitories, pantry, attached bath rooms, ramps, recreation room, dining hall, Health and Yoga Hall, Kitchen, Cook room etc.
Anil Kumar Baba, Manager, JKPCC apprised the Director that slab of 1st floor was laid last week after completing construction work in the ground floor.
Dr Bharat Bhushan along with Babu Ram went around the upcoming building and exhorted the executing agency to gear up the pace of the progress.
Kuldeep Singh, Deputy Director, Planning, Directorate of Social Welfare Jammu, officials of JKPCC, besides other members of Senior Citizens’ Association including MS Jamwal, BM Kohli, CV Sharma and OP Sharma were also present on the occasion.
