Director School Education reviews functioning of Deptt in 3 districts

JAMMU, Dec 8: Director School Education, Jammu, Rashid Azam Inqlabi reviewed the functioning of the department in three remote districts of Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar during his 3-day tour, which concluded on Sunday.
During the tour, the Director convened meeting of Chief Education Officers (CEOs), Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs), principals of Higher Secondary Schools and Headmasters of all the three districts at Batote, Doda and Kishtwar.
During the meeting, the Director held open deliberations with the participants to know the ground realities of the school infrastructure, staff position, implementation of Mid Day Meal Scheme, disbursement of scholarships and availability of basic minimum facilities like furniture, building, drinking water and toilets in the schools. He also reviewed the schemes of SSA, RMSA and Sakshar Bharat Mission.
While addressing the teachers, Rashid Inqlabi laid stress that teachers should keep themselves updated in the latest technology and teach the children of poor people as their own offspring.
He also advised the teachers to pen down the difficulties of the areas and acquaint themselves with day-to-day knowledge by reading newspapers, listening radio and television. He also stressed the teachers to work for enlightening the society.
Meanwhile, the deputation of ReTs from Doda, Kishtwar and Udhampur met the Director and apprised him about their difficulties. The Director gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to sort out their genuine grievances.
