Director Colleges inaugurates soft skills, personality development course in GCOE

JAMMU, Feb 18: Director Colleges Mohd Yousaf Peerzada today inaugurated Add on Skill Course—Soft Skills and Personality Development in the Government College of Education.
The programme is an initiative by the Higher Education Department to train the students in potential skills to grab jobs in future and raise an affluent future generation.
Speaking on the occasion, Director highlighted the initiatives taken by the Commissioner Secretary, Higher Education Department Talat Parvez Rohella for the benefit of youth and building a progressive future society with higher levels of intellect and skills.
Dr. Kulwinder Kour, Principal of the College assured to render all support to this programme organized by the Higher Education Department. She said that the students have the caliber in them but it needs to be nurtured and brought out with the right guidance.
Also present on the occasion were the training partners of this initiative Dr Nelika, Dr Javaid and Dr Shahid from the Central University of Jammu. The trainers for the event were also present on the occasion.
Dr Shubhra Jamwal (Nodal Officer of the event ), Prof Sarita Dogra along with Prof Deep Bangotra will coordinate the entire programme of 250 hours duration. Prof C L Shivgotra, Dr Rajinder Kour, Dr Jyoti Parihar, Dr Zubair Kales and Prof Satish Sharma were also present on the occasion.
Prof Jaya Bhasin, Project Director and Dean Central University of Jammu, Principals and students of GDC, Doda and GDC, Thannamandi were also connected in the program through virtual mode. This will be first batch of 30 students from GCOE. The program was well conducted by Dr Shubhra Jamwal.
The student volunteers Ajay Bhau, Priya Chivalry Singh, Meenakshi Manhas and Madan helped in the successful organization of the even.
