KATHUA, May 4: Director Command Area Development , Jammu, Shiv Kumar Gupta , accompanied by a team of officers, Tilak Raj Sharma Project Officer, CAD Samba, Brij Mohan Rana, ASCO Dayalachak and other field staff of Sub Division Dayalachak today concluded a one day extensive tour of Kathua district.
Director CAD, Jammu visited Block Kerian Gandial along with the staff of Sub Division, Dayalachak CAD Jammu and Sub Division of Irrigation Department Kathua. Rajeev Sharma, Executive Engineer, Irrigation Sub Division, Kathua along with his team accompanied Director CAD Jammu to inspect the various sites which are untouched regarding the Command Area. He along with whole team visited the Head of Kerian Gandial canal i.e Badsahi Canal and discussed the site plan of Kerian Gandial canal with Executive Engineer and ASCO Dayalachak on spot.
He interacted with progressive farmers about the CAD activities. The progressive farmers discussed in detail about the problems being faced by the farmers of the area regarding low availability water in the area and also demanded construction of field channels so that the available water can be better used for the farming activities. The Director instructed ASCO Dayalachak to survey and make a detailed report of the works to be taken to mitigate the problems of the farmers.
