PYC calls on PCC chief, working president

JAMMU, Aug 31: The JKPCC president, Vikar Rasool Wani today said that people are fed up of lame excuses made by the BJP both at the Centre and in the J&K after the party failed to provide even the basic amenities to people.
Addressing a meeting of J&K Youth Congress office bearers at Party office here today, JKPCC chief emphasized that there is a dire need to counter the fallacious agenda of BJP which has been befooling the people of the J&K by propagating false narratives of unprecedented development. He accused the BJP Government of showing callousness in providing basic facilities like healthcare, civic edifice like roads, education and power, water and public transport.
“The scrapping of SIs list and the CBI holding a probe in corruption case highlighted by none other than the former Governor of J&K is the testimony to fact that BJP government is neck deep in corruption and those leaders who are accusing others should first look at their backyards”, he said adding that people have got the exact idea of the misdeeds of the BJP leadership and they are only waiting for the chance to show them mirror in the coming elections.
JKPCC chief called upon Congress workers to unite behind Rahul Gandhi as he undertakes the 3,570-km Kanyakumari-to-Kashmir ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra’. He also exhorted upon the party cadre to participate in large number in the ‘Halla Bol Maha rally’ to be held at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi on September 4 against “rising inflation and unemployment”.
JKPCC working president Raman Bhalla said the Centre’s failure to reach out and build bridges of reconciliation with the youth had created a political vacuum. He attributed the looming uncertainty and confrontational approach of BJP government for “the sense of despair and hopelessness among the youth”. He said promises were made during the elections and votes sought for specific purposes. The same promises were then bartered without any inhibitions for personal and familial political empowerment of a few people.
National general secretary, Indian Youth Congress, Jagdev Gaga said that Congress played a decisive role in India’s freedom struggle and thereafter during its rule in the country. He said that today there is a dire need to make the youth aware about the achievements made during the Congress rule.
Navneet IYC secretary and Uday Bhanu Chib, president J&K PYC, working president JKPYC Fairoz Khan felicitated Vikar Rasool Wani and Raman Bhalla for taking over the charge of J&K Congress and extended full support in exposing the wrong doings of the BJP led Government at the Centre.
