Srinagar, May 22: Director Horticulture, P&M Department V. P Mahajan today directed for preparation of DPR immediately for the macadamization of the entire Fruit Mandi Parimpora and link roads and construction of a fully equipped drainage system of Mandi.
He visited Fruit Mandi, Parimpora during which he made a thorough round to all the blocks and CA Store Site as well.
Thereafter, he had a persuasive discussion with the management of the Association headed by Bashir Ahmad Bashir, President NKFA about several compelling issues and development works.
During the discussion in the meeting, while giving a patient hearing, the Director, Horticulture P&M gave on spot directions to Manzoor Ahmad, Deputy Director for the execution of the lease deed of all those shop sites where the same has not been extended as yet and completing the task within 15 days only.
He was also directed to issue licences exclusively to the members of the Fruit Association and complete the task by 30th June 2021.
Asgar Ali Watali was on the spot directed by the Director to prepare DPR immediately for the macadamization of the entire Fruit Mandi and link roads as well and construction of a fully equipped drainage system of Mandi.
The officers were asked to access the losses to the horticulture sector due to hailstorm, arrangements of transportation of cherries by air, train or Road, issues about National highway, sort the illegal encroachment around fruit Mandi along with directions on several other issues.
