JAMMU, Aug 12: Under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign, Joint Director Information Jammu, Atul Gupta along with Deputy Director Information (PR), Dr. Vikas Sharma and Field Publicity Officer, Mukesh Sharma lighted lamps at Balidan Stambh here today and paid tributes to martyrs of the Nation.
The lamps were lit under ‘Mitti Ko Naman Veeron Ka Vandan’, an emotive step of the government.
Officials of Information Department Jammu were also present on the occasion and paid tributes to brave sons of the soil who laid down their lives in the service of the Nation.
It is pertinent to mention here that ‘Meri Maati Mera Desh’ campaign has been started by PM Modi which shall be running from August 9 to 15 and consists of various campaigns like Veeron Ko Vandan, Tiranga Rallies, plantation drives, Vasuda Vandan etc being run across the country in respect of heroes of the Nation.
