Diploma engineers project pending demands

JAMMU, May 30:  All J&K Diploma Engineers Association discussed their demands in a crucial meeting held here today.
Besides members of the Association from J&K, representatives from various bodies of Diploma engineers from Punjab, Himachal, Haryana and Chandigarh participated. The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Upinder Singh State president while Satnam Singh Dhanoa, chairman SAARC Diploma Engineers Federation presided over the meet. Mr Dhanoa while speaking on the occasion stressed for the broader unity  among the States of North Zone. He also congratulated newly elected members of All J&K Diploma Engineers Association and extended full cooperation.
Mr Dhanoa appealed the J&K Government that the recent memorandum submitted by the Association on the analogy of Punjab State  with respect to the entry level grade and promotion avenues be considered without any further delay.
Upinder Singh assured the cadre that the Association will strongly project their issues before the Government and would stress for seeking entry level grade from Rs 5000-8000 to Rs 6700-10700 for the Diploma engineers, enhancement of TA from Rs 30 to Rs 5000 and promotion after every 10 years of service. He also stressed for maintaining cadre strength at the level of AE, AEE and Executive Engineer.
R D Kanwal from HP, Vasudev from Punjab and DC Bhardwaj advisor SAARC also addressed the gathering.
