During the meeting which was held in presence of Chief Secretary and Principal Secretary PDD, Secretary PHE and Director Finance Code, the delegation members Afaq Chesti, Upinder Singh, Anil Gupta, Mohd Yasin and Mohd Iqbal strongly projected the issues of the Diploma Engineers.
They alleged that cadre was being neglected as meagre quota of 20 % at the level of AE, AEE and Xen is not being maintained. They claimed that 20 % quota was not enough as most of the engineers are retiring as JEs. The issue related to promotions and enhancement of travelling allowance was also discussed.
The DyCM assured to the delegation for the maintenance of 20% quota and also look for avenues of promotion for them. The Chief Secretary also gave suggestions to resolve the pending issues of the engineers.
